Kirsty was the first member of the bar team to be recruited. With a background in retail and as a trained dancer she seemed ideal; we've certainly kept her on her toes! Kirsty is very popular amongst our customers delivering great service, always with a smile. She has very quickly become a natural in hospitality! Kirsty is also in charge of decorations at the Hop and makes all the fabulous paper flowers you will see about the place.

We’d also like to mention our good and local friend Jim Marshall who has shown such enthusiasm towards this project and has been the greatest help with so many aspects of The Hop and Huffkin’s development.

Our Story

The Hop and Huffkin, Kentish Bar and Dining Room is the result of passion, a year of research and plenty of support from old and new friends and family. The concept supports the trend and desire to eat and drink artisan products that are sourced locally and to keep food simple yet top quality. With Kent being my home as well as such a beautiful county, it hasn't been hard to find an array of amazing artisan food and drink suppliers practically on The Hop and Huffkin's doorstep.

My team at The Hop and Huffkin passionately believe in supporting local. We source as much of our food and drink from as close as possible and I employ locally whenever possible. Please do 'hop in' if you're in or near Sandwich, Kent.
